"Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins
Katniss has survived the Quarter Quell. She, along with her family, Gale and several others from District 12, have been living in District 13 - planning a rebel attack against the Capital. Meanwhile, Peeta and several other victors from the Quell are being held captive and tourtured in the Capital.
With events for an attack on the Capital happening all around her, Katniss soon realizes that she has become the face of the rebellion. She is the "Mockingjay" and now she is a pawn in an even bigger and more dangerous game.
As the fight rages on, Katniss starts to hold herself responsible for the deaths of so many. She begins to see herself as Peeta, Gale and so many others see her. When the war comes to an end, Katniss is left broken and afraid, but everyone gets a happy ending in their own way.
Katniss always will be "the girl who was on fire". The Mockingjay.
Would I recommend this book?
Of course I would!
Normally with sequels, you never expect the second or third books to be better than the first. With the Hunger Games series, this is certainly not the case. With each book, the story built into something more. There was always an intensity about the story that kept me going back for more. Collins did an excellent job with her plot and really knows how to draw in readers.
The Hungers Games series should be on everyones "Must Read" list!
Oh and one last thing...... Team Peeta :)
