Pattern Overload

#33: Make a quilt for someone.

This is something that I've been telling myself I wanted to do for a while now - a few years actually! I'm such a slacker sometimes.. haha Now that the bathroom remodel is finally winding down, I should be able to get out my sewing supplies again without it being in the way.

I recently found out that my close cousin and her husband are expecting their first baby! I'm so excited for them. As soon as I found out, I got the idea to make a baby quilt as a baby shower gift. So I've been searching online for ideas. It's been a little difficult because they won't know the gender of the baby for a few more weeks yet, so I've been trying to keep my browsing to a minimum. I'm also going to wait and see if they plan on doing any sort of nursery theme.

But... there's just so much cute baby stuff out there! It's hard not to look!

That being said, I think animal quilts are adorable. They are good for a boy or a girl and what kid doesn't love animals?
