I watched it, but I honestly still don't really understand the cult following these films seem to have. Sorry RPatz, I'm not going to be drooling over you anytime soon, I guess he's just not my type. And Kristen Stewart? She has one look on her face throughout the whole movie - she just looks completely confused.
I'm not saying I hated it, the storyline was actually pretty decent. Hell, I may even break down and watch New Moon (that's the second one, right?). But I'll probably just wait until we get another SHOWTIME free preview weekend like I did with this one.
There was just one thing that bothered me:
How on Earth did Bella make friends so fast? She walked into school and within 2 minutes she had a whole crew competing for her attention. Come on, that doesn't happen. I switched schools in 5th grade and have been out of high school for 5 years and I STILL don't have that many friends. Man, that makes me sound lame. Maybe I should have found some sparkling vampires to hang out with.
