**Warning: This post will be very picture heavy!**
The nursery is done! There are links through out the post letting you know where most things came from.
I wanted to stick with a color scheme that could be for a boy or girl, even though we know we're having a little boy. The walls were already a buttery yellow color, so I chose orange to go with it. I really like how everything turned out! It's bright and fun, and I think any little kid would like it - we'll find out!
Enjoy!
The dresser is from the Target Delta Bentley Collection. The chair/glider is something we've had for years. If it doesn't work (which I doubt) we can always upgrade later.
The changing pad (Munchkin brand from Target) sits on top of the dresser, since we didn't want or have room for a separate changing table. The changing pad cover was made by me, using this tutorial. It was super easy to make and I was able to use the extra fabric from the bedding I made.
Also on the dresser is a fabric bin (this one from Target) holding diapers, wipes and other baby goodies. I liked this idea because it keeps everything together in case we change the baby somewhere else, we can just grab the whole bin.
The two shelves above the dresser are shelves that I've had since I was about 7 years old. They were stained wood before, so I sanded them down and painted them white. There are quite a few empty spots yet, but I'm waiting to order the birthstone and personalized keepsakes until after he's born.
I did however, buy these cute little owl blocks from Etsy! I saw them in pink and fell in love, so I asked the seller to make them in blue for me. I LOVE them!!
In the corner by the chair, we have a book shelf (this one from Target). The green bin (this one) holds a bunch of toys, it's just the right size to fit on the shelves.
There is an empty space on top of the book shelf for a lamp. I ordered it, but it hasn't arrived yet. It's this one from Amazon. I'd also like to put a small clock there as well.
The shelves are well stocked with tons of books that we received as shower gifts. I can't wait to read these with him :)
This kid has a pretty well stocked closet! There are clothes in there ranging from Newborn to 12 Month size. Also tons of diapers!!
Being the organizational freak that I am, I made these closet clothing separators. Right now there's one for 'Newborn', '0-3 Month', '3-6 Month' and '6 to 9 Month'.
I just used some extra scrapbook paper I had laying around. Cut a hole the size of your closet rod, maybe a little larger, and a slit so you can slide it onto the rod. I wrote the sizes on there with a black sharpie.
The other side of the closet has 3 drawers full of goodies and shelves for storing blankets and toys.
The window valances were made by me, using a pattern from this pattern pack. I love how they turned out, they're very fun looking!
Then there's the crib! It's from Targets Delta Bentley Collection. The quilt, bumper and crib skirt were made by me. I ordered a pattern, but ended up not liking it so I just made my own! It took some time, but I really like the way everything turned out.
Above the crib there are 3 owl prints. I got the frames at JoAnn's for 50% off. They are 12'x12' Shadowbox frames and I used textured scrapbook paper for the mattes and printed the owl printed on white, textured scrapbook paper as well.
I also wanted to share this little step stool with you all. We got this as a shower gift, and I think it's just the cutest thing!!
"This little stool is mine
I use it all the time
To reach things that I couldn't
And lots of things I shouldn't"
It's Oscar approved.
And because I haven't showed him off enough lately, here's Oscars close up :)
I hope everyone likes it!! If you have any questions about anything, post a comment and I'll help/answer the best I can :o)

Good job Michelle!
The nursery looks fantastic! I love the way you organized the baby's cloths. You should tell us how you did the valances one day.
I'm sure the little boy will love all the stuff :)
Really cute! I love your fabric bin idea for diapers, wipes, etc. I'm not sure how I want to organize that, I was thinking about a hanging shoe organizer... but think I like your idea better. Hmmm.
Sahar: I will try to put up a tutorial for the valances soon. They are actually quite easy!
Jammie: I thought about a hanging shoe organizer too, but ended up going with the fabric bins for portability purposes.
I love it! You never see enough orange/yellow-y nurserys these days, very bright and refreshing! I guess I should get around to taking pictures of mine and put them up. Also, Oscar is a cutie :)
Thanks Emily! I wanted something different, and I think I got that :)
I love the bright cheerful colors - perfect to keep the nursery sunny during northern winters!
I have two of the exact owl prints in the bathroom off my nursery, but I ordered them from an Etsy seller and now am thinking I paid for something I may not have needed to? Anyway, yours are way way cuter - I couldn't find shadowbox frames and wound up putting them in regular 8x10 frames. Boring.
(PS: Delurking from The Bump!)
@guacaholic: my prints are also from Etsy - I just matted and framed them myself. I thought I had the link in the post, but I will have to add that!
